What was he thinking?

The other day I wrote about my hard-core Clinton supporting friend that had question about Joe Biden.  I can't wait to talk with her now.

Gail Collins said it best in her NY Times Op-Ed piece today:
If she’s only on the ticket to try to get disaffected Clinton supporters to cross over, it’s a bad choice. Joe Biden may already be practicing his drop-dead line for the vice-presidential debate: “I know Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is a friend of mine, and governor, you’re no Hillary Clinton.”
Palin is anti-choice and believes in teaching "intelligent design" in public schools.  What was McCain thinking?

If McCain were, Ghu-Forbid, to get elected, and if the unthinkable happened we'd have a president coming on board with around TWO YEARS of legislative experience.  But, hey its a whole state.  Oh wait...  Memphis has more people than Alaska.  Let's see... we'd have the equivalent of the Mayor of MEMPHIS running our country.

I've become so used to we Democrats shooting ourselves in our collective political feet that its refreshing to see the GOP do it for once.  Thank you, John, for giving the US electorate yet another reason to vote for Obama!

UPDATE....

I don't believe it!  McCain only met Palin in person a week ago!  He's spent something like 2 hours with her before introducing her to the public.  This is good judgment???  To select someone you hardly know as the "heartbeat away" person??  That alone should make people wonder.
