When is a Home not a Home?
When is a home not a home? When you get paid a "Per Diem" to stay there. I run a small software business and when I'm on the road giving training to my customers I usually get a "per diem". "On the Road" is the critical bit. I sure don't get that pay if I'm here in beautiful Saint Paul. I guess if I'm governor of Alaska I can collect my per diem even if I'm home!
Just what was the vetting process that McCain used? "Hey... has the Palin gal ever shot anyone by accident?""No? Good enough! She's on the ticket!" I still feel sort of sorry for our poor old Minnesota governor, Tim Pawlenty. It must be tough waking up in the morning, seeing Palin at McCain's right hand, and think "He gave up on ME for HER??"
Contrast all this to Obama's process... weeks and weeks of meeting with people. Yet another reason to vote for him.
