Palin's Going Down - John's Clueless

Well, it looks as though Palin's 15 minutes of fame is starting to wane.  Folks are beginning to look beyond the moose-hunting, bridge-stopping, soccer-momming lady and ask "Just what IS she all about?"

Turns out, she's about pettiness and insularity.

I've read on line stories from Alaskans about how Palin goes after those who don't agree with her...she even has an "enemies" list.  Hey, don't I remember that from somewhere in my youth?  Oh, right, "Tricky Dick".

Big difference between those two Republicans:

Good old Dick Nixon could tell the difference between one kind of foreign policy and another.  Say what you will about him, he DID open up China to the US.  He didn't get to be "Tricky" by being ill-informed and ignorant of the world stage.

Palin, though, Palin can't even elucidate the Bush doctrine.  She'd "Stare Down" Putin just like she's been staring down Siberia across the Bering Straights.  Trouble is,  staring down someone is pretty low on the list of negotiating skills required of a president.

What was he thinking, anyway, when he picked her?

Speaking of John...

"Let's make a committee to study the melt-down on Wall Street."  That's right, put off the reckoning for another day.  For weeks McCain has been saying that the economy is "fundamentally sound".  I suppose by that he means that it's been "fundamentally good" for folks with over $1,000,000 in the bank.  We've put up with eight years of declining regulation and oversite.  We've let the wolves guard the hen house.

Back in the late 90's my software company ran a certification program for a Major Drug Company.  It turns out that they weren't making sure that the research groups were following all the appropriate protocols when testing drugs.  To avoid big fines (and having their CEO tossed in jail) they set up a solid certification program that I provided the software for.  Come the Bush years, that all changed.  "You folks keeping track of things over there?"  "yup, yup, yup".  And that was that.  No more thorough certifications.  No more record keeping.  No more accountability.  Self-regulation.  Just like the banks.  Just like the brokerage houses.

Forget the committees.  Barack says "bring back the regulators".  I'm all for that.   It's about time the wolves got kicked out the hen houses.

Even though I am here in Mexico and I can’t vote… from a cold analysis point of view, it is simple to me, when I go to an job interview, they have hired me to be the Lead engineer of the most advance war tank in the world in VA, was not because I did not have any experience… but I had the most!!! …
Even Palin has more experience running the government than Obama…
It is very frightened to have someone that has never passed a single law, or done anything to be in charge of the most powerful country of the word… you can be a sweet talker but I don’t thing that will do the job… specially when his running mate when public to said that if Obama will be elected it will be a worldwide crisis in 6 months… and this is coming from his running mate…. Wow I don’t need that type of support… what is scarier!!!! Is that 6 months ago Obama running mate told him on his face that he did not have the experience to run his country… ouch!!!
3 year ago no one knew who was Obama till CNN started campaigning for him to be a congress man… now I can’t turn to CNN anymore as the only thing they do is talk wonders about Obama and crab about Mc Cain, it is clear to me that is a poppet for the wealthiest democrats as the people that run CNN.
The other thing is that is we study a little bit of history in economics, we will see that everything in life is rule by cycles, everything, from our way of breathing to the fall and collapses of great nations… If we look back 30 year ago, we can see that they have been 3 world resections each one between 7 and 10 year, which have taken between 12 to 18 months to get out of them…. If you see in USA we had 3 recessions in 1994, 2003, and now, which each one have taken between 6 to 8 month to recover… and the economy have run in cycle and always will do, this nature of the economy of the world was discovered by Mr. Down Johns…. That is why the NY exchange has his name in honor to the discovery cycles nature of economics…
If we want to blame person of the cycles of life, I believe we need to see the Gran picture…
I support Mc Cain and Palin

Finally... someone negative! About time...  What can I say.  Let's talk about experience.  Palin's experience as mayor has been somewhat checkered, filled with petty snits, getting mad at folks, and firing people she didn't get along with.  As governor she's been under a cloud for quite some time...yes, she's not been indicted, but her ethics leave something to be desired.  But, ignoring that, let's look at what she's done.  She's run a state with a multi-million dollar surplus, no thanks to her.  Heck, my cat could run a state like that...no worries about deficits...everyone getting a nice, fat, check every year.

What's Obama done?  Being senator is not a free ride.  But let's look back... you folks sneer at the "Community Organizer".  That's not a cushy job...it's a thankless job...going up against the Powers That Be.

But... ignore that... Obama's in because CNN's been pimping him?  Gee... I could swear FOX has done that for the GOP for a long, long time.  I guess all of us that have been showing up at rallies (35,000 here in Saint Paul back in the summer, 100,000 in Saint Louis last week) are just dupes of CNN.  Shame on us.

When is Palin going to be going face-to-face with some reporters?  She's had little success so far, so I guess she and her handlers don't have the guts to go on Meet the Press.

Oh... and am I reading that right...the current economic crisis is due to "cycles of history"?  I guess the deregulation that the last 8 years of Bush has put in haven't really been a factor.  And, yes, McCain does have experience... and his experience is voting with Bush 90% of the time.  That's experience we can do without.

Thanks for writing... but get your history straight.
